A quick question I'm not sure about – we're here in Japan. My daughter lost her bag and phone in a taxi on day one. The reception staff spent ages on the phone with the local Koban and helped us get to the police station where her stuff had been handed in. My daughter wanted to get a small token of gratitude for how helpful the staff were. At home we'd get like a box of chocolate or bunch of flowers. Is there something like that here or would they just think we're daft? Thanks!
