Mizuho Corporate Banking – How bad is it?

I've just recently got an account opened with Mizuho for a 法人口座 but I was somewhat expecting that since they have an offer for fee waivers on the first few years as a start-up that it'd otherwise be a very comprehensive banking solution.

However, upon doing a bit more research, I can see several concerning points:

  • Seems like they have a system where only one specific registered machine with a digital key can log in.
  • Seems like they need you to use Edge with Internet Explorer compatibility mode enabled to even use it?
  • There seems to be two different Mizuho banking solutions 'Mizuho Business Web' and 'Mizuho e-Business Site' which have different feature sets (and fees).
  • The 'Mizuho e-Business Site' service requires a high upfront fee and a monthly fee which doesn't seem waived for start-ups (I think only Business Web has a fee waiver).
  • 'Mizuho Business Web' doesn't support automated salary/bonus payments for employees.

Additionally, when I got the IC cash card and bankbook the only information I had in the letter about online banking services was for 'Mizuho Direct' which as far as I can tell is ONLY for personal accounts so I have no idea why it's even being suggested in this context. Not to mention they failed to actually deliver a registered mail to me which was a first time ever.

Am I just overthinking it or is it really as bad a service as it looks from the outset?
