I am going for an exchange at Eikei university of Hiroshima this autumn with my gf. We have both got a position from there. The university seems strict about staying in their dorms however, the rules do not allow us to share a room or even visit each other.
Have any of you been in this situation before and do you have any thoughts on how would it be possible to convince them to allow us to have a room?
Also they have said that our exchange is short therefore we are not allowed to rent privately.
Stay is 5-6 months.
