  2. If you’re wondering how long it takes an intercom system to overcome a lifetime of midwestern politeness, apparently the answer is about 6 months. A simple *結構です* into the mic and a half hour of shooing people off my porch vanishes just like that.

  4. How’s the tech going for all of you who visit schools? 

    We got new Chromebooks and they absolutely don’t want to stay connected to the Network. Just dropping connection every hour and then not reconnecting till restart. It’s exhausting. 

    Also leave it to an elementary school to manage a code to be able to access the teachers version of the digital textbook.

    Where’s the code? No one knows. Can’t access it. Can’t use part of the textbook.

  5. Walked out to check the mail and a guy was taking a picture of my neighbor’s nameplate. He then took a picture of another neighbor’s plate, skipped over my house and went to the next one. Asked him what he’s doing and he said “I’m from Tokyo Denryoku, we had applications from these people”

    And I was like oh ok then. He showed me his badge. I guess it’s for confirming that your customers actually live there but, is it really necessary to take a picture?

    But idk, i think they’re a little too fitted for my fat ass. They dont feel breezey/breathable like these oversized uniqlo t-shirts i have that are made so some kind of synthetic.
