Such a great event. Would highly recommend for any lovers of the Japanese culture!
Interestingly enough the guards were telling people, walking along along a nearby path, in Japanese that people could walk slowly and take pictures as long as they don't stop and were also telling people in English "Don't stop! Don't look!!"

There’s also a demonstration of Japanese horseback archery (called yabusame) at Meiji Jingu every Culture Day 3 November. It’s held at the area west of the shrine structure. You can stand and watch all you want, but get there early if you want a good spot.
Also at the same time on an adjacent field will be demonstrations of classical Japanese martial arts like kenjutsu and classical jujutsu.
Nice there’s also an event every year at Kamakura
