  2. But according to the government they’re not weapons, they’re “defense equipment with lethal capabilities” and it’s not war profiteering but “development of the capabilities and technologies of strategic industries”

  4. The article doesn’t mention it but these arms exports are only permitted to countries which have signed an agreement for defense tech transfer and excludes any states presently in conflict.

    It’s a list of 17 states like UK, Australia, India, Germany, France, and a couple of Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Philippines, and Indonesia. They’re not selling arms to North Korea you know…
