  3. Same populist playbook like in Germany. Outside forces are appealing to the Nazis to severe ties with the US to “make Germany great again”. Once Germany or US has done so it’s easy prey for Russian or Chinese imperialism.

    has japan done literally **anything** in relation to the iran war other than releasing some oil from the strategic reserve? This is like demanding that suntory end the production of budweiser.

    either way, fixing the constitution is the opposite of “sucking up to america”. it’s throwing a provision that america wrote and forced on japan into the trash, and putting japan in a position where if it ever needs a military it will have one (as opposed to the country falling into a ukraine-like scenario where america says “not our territory, not our problem, we’ll throw some money at you and hope for the best”)

  17. I was in shock of the pm standing up to trumps bullshit remarks, and more so when she delivered flowers to one of the pilots that dropped the bomb in either Nagasaki or Hiroshima and bowed. Wtf
