Long shot I know but, has anyone done this, specifically the Chidoricho area using public transport to get there and back from Tokyo? From what I can gather Hama Kawasaki station is the closest plus an hour's walk to get there which is fine. Maps provides a walking route but mentions its not guaranteed , with possible road closures etc. I'm aware of the boat/bus tours, and may still do that, but would rather just go it alone. Thanks.
Edit – Someone mentioned walking from Kojimashinden station which makes more sense, that does seem walkable, thanks.
