Just came from the Cherry Blossom festival in Hirosaki Park and saw so many food stalls, anything like this in the south?

Will be spending a few days in the Kansai region this coming week so either Osaka or Kyoto would be great. I just like the outdoor feel versus the cramped feel of Nishiki market.
