Hi, I'd appreciate a sanity check on my salary expectations. I'm planning to move to Tokyo for language school and job searching after my current project ends.
I don't want to live in Japan come hell or high water. If it works out, amazing, if not, I'll maybe have had the adventure of my life and appreciate it for that. One key aspect for "if it works out" is salary though, so I'd appreciate some input on that. About me:
- 34m, no dependents, sufficient savings
- MBA
- 11 years in international SaaS
- Currently digital transformation lead for operations processes
- Aiming to move with confident N3 skills, shooting for N2-N1 after 12-18 months of language school
Most posts of experienced people that I found were from engineers and I know people that work on the product are often paid better. So I wanted to check; Would 6M minimum be a reasonable salary expectation someone in Operations?
