Does Japan have higher quality straighteners? Is it a good idea to buy one as a souvenir?

I’ll be in both Korea & Japan- I can’t recall which one it was but I recall there’s places where you can test out sooo many straighteners before even buying them! There’s even stores where you pay very little money to use a straightener while you’re out!

Is a straightener from Japan a good idea to bring back? I love simply using them for my bangs or my ends- I’d love to get a little one! Anyone have any experience with this?

EDIT: I’d love to know the most popular straighteners used in Japan and if it’s worth it. Cordless or non. Thank you!
