Any assistance or guidance on moving to Japan from the UK

Hello!

I’ve never made a Reddit post like this before, so please bear with me, haha.

Basically, I’m looking for some guidance on what I could do. I’d love to move to Japan, either for short-term or long-term work. I’m also open to studying if that would help with opportunities.

For some background: I have a university degree in English Language and Linguistics, as well as Japanese. I completed it in England and graduated with a 2:1. That said, it’s been about three years since I graduated, so my Japanese is quite rusty. I’d be happy to take language lessons either before going or once I’m there.

I guess what I’m really asking is—are there any programs available or opportunities I could look into? When I was at university, I remember there being quite a few different programs, but I’m struggling to find anything now.

I should also mention that I’m not UK-born, though I’ve lived in England for the past eight years. I’m originally from Lithuania and still hold a Lithuanian passport, in case that opens up any additional options or programs.
