How do you cope with earthquake or tsunami as a parent?

I was reflecting on what happened this afternoon about the earthquake… as soon as the alarm goes and i immediately reached for my toddler to hug him.

I was so scared and cried in front of him which i feel like it scared him too because of my reaction.

We live in a mansion and i know being in a building is safer than outside…

im just scared to think what if im not with my son when the big one comes, what if im far from where he is and cant contact him…

now thinking of it scares the hell out of me🫣 how do you cope with the anxiety and maybe preparations i should start teach my toddler?
