The food in OKINAWA is a little different from what we ate in Tokyo or Osaka. We tried Goya for the first time. It’s really bitter, but I still recommend tourists give it a try. Also, we learned the Japanese word for soba lol. Because soba shops are everywhere.
We don’t try the American steak in Okinawa to see if it’s any different from the ones back home. We do see a lot of Steak 88 signs.

The only ones that are Okinawan cuisine are 2 and 3. The others are Japanese/korean.
Missed taco rice, but you can easily make that at home.
Okinawa soba is easily one of my favorite dishes! Rich and somehow refreshing at the same time 👌🏼
> Japanese word for soba
Did you mean Okinawan? Cause soba is Japanese already lol
ステーキ88はおいしくないのでオススメしません。チェーン店ならやっぱりステーキという店がいいでしょう
ちなみに沖縄のそばは実は日本のそばの基準を満たしていないので、かつて名前が変更される可能性がありましたが特例で認められました
I love a good champuru whether it’s Goya, Fuu, Nasubi or Tofu. Okinawan soba is also one of my favorite dishes, if you’re feeling a little crazy you can try it with goat meat
The term soba here is going back to the generalized wood for noodles. Like Chuka soba or Chinese style noodles or old school ramen. Typically, you would differentiate between Okinawa soba and soba. Okinawa soba is much more similar to ramen noodles than what most people think of as soba made from buckwheat.
