I finished my first year of Japanese at college this week. We went all the way through the first genki book over two semesters. I intend to keep practicing that grammar to master it, as it's not all locked in yet. However, I don't want to fall into the noob trap of not seeking new materials because I haven't gotten **all** the basics down 100%. I know it will come even as I practice new material. That being said, where should I be looking for new material?
My class in the fall will be using genki book 2, so I'd like something different from that. I was thinking about maybe practicing more kanji, but I did also enroll in a summer course that's going to be 8 weeks of exclusively kanji starting in June. Is there a different book that you recommend to keep learning? Should I just focus on mastering as much kanji as possible? Open to any and all suggestions from advanced learners! 😊
