Anyone have experience treating herpes here?

In my home country, I would get prescribed LARGE quantities of Valacyclovir (1g tablets for 30–90 days) for both episodic treatment AND suppression due to frequent outbreaks.

KEYWORD: SUPPRESSION – to prevent outbreaks, not just treat them after they start.

I ran out of my stockpile recently so today I went to the doctor.

They prescribed me a 5-day course of 250mg Famciclovir (which I’ve never tried before).

I told them that I always get more meds and that I need it for prevention as I get frequent outbreaks.

They said, “no can do, ain’t giving you more than 5 days.”

They also said that I can’t just go to the pharmacy to refill either and that I would have to schedule a doctor’s appointment every time to get more meds.

For me, that’s bullsht (but typical here).

If I have to schedule and wait for a doctor’s appointment every time, then it’ll already be too fckin late help like it was today.

Anyways…

QUESTION:

• Have you ever gotten a doctor to give you a large quantity of herpes meds for SUPPRESSION, not just a 1-time treatment script?

• If so, what doctor or clinic?
