ARE JAPANESE MEN VERY PRIVATE?

Im currently talking to a Japanese guy. I can already feel the chemistry although at times he’s cold when he answers. He told me about his job and his abusive ex girlfriends eventhough it was hard for him to talk about it. Were friends on facebook but there’s nothing there to see. He said he is very private. So i tried looking for his IG but he said he forgot the password so he cant open it. I followed him still the later, he denied the request to follow. He lied. Im still new to dating other culture. Help!

  1. It’s quite possible that he’s a private person, not because he’s Japanese, but because he has a hard time trusting people. It could also be that he’s hiding a double life. Whatever the case, I’d advise you not to put your eggs in one basket or your intention if to date him.

  3. Just remember that a Japanese man is still a man. Be cautious. He already lied, and the classic ‘all my exes are crazy’… very suspicious. Less so about privacy and more like what is he hiding?

    Very private and “He told me about his job and his abusive ex girlfriends” don’t mix and honestly gut feeling is this feels off for so many reasons….

  7. If someone being private is an issue for you then I suggest moving on. He might actually be private (my FB and Insta have nothing, I just use for chatting) or hes hiding a second life.

    Either way if someone being private is an issue then move on.

    Also this is the wrong sub to post your dating woes, has nothing to do with Tokyo

    You’re not dating, you’re talking to someone online. You’re basically strangers to each other.
