Got my bike stolen in record time

Haha I bought a used bike like 6 hours ago maybe less, rode it to Abeno Q's Mall and parked it right in front where everyone else parked theirs and took my key and registration with me, come back ~3 hours later, it's gone 🙃 people literally left their bikes with the key still in it and those ones didn't get stolen so why me 😭

Update: it got impounded by the city and costs more than half the bike's price just to get it back 🫠

  1. Maybe the guy or shop who sold it to you, followed you with a spare key. Stole it back. Changed the locks and are going to try to sell it again. Could be a scam because that sounds very odd!!
    Ok Tennoji is a little sketchy for Japan but it’s still super safe.

    It’s a new bike though!? Are you sure you didn’t just forget what it looked liked. It’s definitely gone??

  2. Sorry that happened. Just to make sure, bit are you sure it wasn’t just taken by the city for being parked somewhere your no allowed to. Even if there are other bikes there doesn’t mean it’s safe (I speak from experience).

    Those guys go round in flatbed trucks and pile bikes in them if you aren’t parked somewhere your supposed to be.

  4. Over the years, I’ve had my bicycle impounded over 25 times. It took a while to get it through my thick head but now I walk whenever possible or pay for parking.
    Much less stress. lol
