Today I purchased some cassettes and a cassette player from a shop in shibuya. The cassettes are fine but the player sounds abysmal and the radio on it doesn’t even work. I payed 14,000 yen for it and after some research realized I totally got ripped off. I’m considering attempting to return it tomorrow but I fear it’ll be a waste of time. I feel like I have a pretty good case but I’d also like to avoid an altercation.
Packaging was opened by the store employee to show me that the color matched the display, and it wasn’t even sealed to begin with, so I don’t think that will be an issue.
Does anyone have any input? Is it worth trying to return or should I cut my losses and save myself further shame and embarrassment after being ripped of.
