Unlike everything else travel wise that we have booked day of, this is turning into a nightmare.
Original plan was Kanazawa to Takayama via the bus and stopping at Shinarwara-go. But apparently there are no buses now to either so that plan is out of the window.
Our hotel is for tomorrow in Takayama, I tried doing Kanazawa to Toyama to Takayama via train, but every train sold out as I was trying to book on Look. I even tried going to Hida Fukawara since it's closer but they sold out too.
Please any help you can provide to get us there. Very frustrated with myself that I didn't know the public transit could book up but it's too late for that.
Edit: Solved thanks to u/battlestarvalk . Routing through a train to Takaoka then bus to Takayama.
