Prepare my mariage and I want to protect my assets

I'm currently preparing my mariage and don't know how to protect my assets.

Is a mariage contract necessary ?

I read that in Japan, this kind of things is not common.

Anyone have some advise ?

I personnaly will look for an advisor.
