So I'm currently in NY, 20 yo sophomore, (International relation and global studies major) trying to move to Japan with the current goal of graduating first but I don't think my current major will help me there and unsure what to do
Right now I have dual citizenship (JP/USA) N3 level (taking Japanese outside college) guaranteed place to live in Tokyo and Shizouka, which is the good part but I lack the education for Jobs there and would like advice
I did some research that IT/ programming are some good fields there although being competitive, I lacked the interest/ difficulty understanding that field while taking related courses and outside coding classes before college, firstly should I switch my major to something comp sci related or minor and just grind it out?
Secondly more of my strong suit I'm considering business majors like accounting, finance, marketing or international business to change from my current major and maybe try coding on the side as a minor
I know the Japanese language is one of the most important things to learn there before education as an outsider and that could lead to other jobs outside of just business and tech, but what would you guys say my best course of action is now b4 I make the jump? I also plan to save around 40-50k usd before I move too
