Every year I buy three pairs of steteco from uniqlo, and once the weather gets hot those and flipflops are basically all I wear until we reach human temperatures again. I have to buy three pairs a year because I melt through them.
I just got my 令和8 stack yesterday, and put on the first one today. It felt off. It felt chintzy and uncomfortable. So I dug last year's pair out of the trash (thanking them respectfully for their service) to compare labels, and yep: what used to be 98% cotton is now 81% cotton and 17% rayon.
It seems like a pretty small tweak but it's really noticable, so if you enjoyed these for the summer months be advised. Also I think they used to cost less? They're 1500 each now.
So, anyone have any recommendations for where to get cotton clothes for the summer?
