Hello everyone, sorry for the brand new account (more on that later). This message is to seek input and criticism on an app I created for the financial community.
I created a new app for US citizens living in Japan that helps you see if your current investment approach aligns with your desired retirement date. I took into account all the different IRS and Japan NTA rules in place for things like PFICs, Roth IRA as viewed from the NTA perspective, and many other things. The app is not meant to substitute a tax professional or accountant and it is more for giving you a general ball park idea.
The app runs directly on the computer, so you do not need to share your personal information online.
