Hello,
I've been wearing glasses all my life, with hyperopia (>+3.50) and astigmatism, and wearing glasses all my life. It's been a couple of years since I got my eyes checked for the last time (before coming to Japan), and I had heard enough bad stories about LASIK that I did not even want to consider the option.
That being said, I've been able to experience the Japanese healthcare system a couple of times now and it has always gone pretty well (nothing really bad to report, I mean), and so I am considering perhaps finally getting rid of my glasses.
I did consider contact lenses, but I'm quite phobic about touching my own eyes and I'm super scared about not being able to remove them, so that's a big no-no.
Anyway, I've learned about ICL recently as an option for my eyes (although it might be borderline) I've heard Japan has pretty good ICL clinics, has anyone in the sub gone through this procedure before and would be kind enough to share their experience? I'm considering paying a visit to the Sapia Tower Eye Clinic to see if it would be doable.
I've looked into the subreddit for some reviews and there aren't many of them.
