I was shopping online and when I went to purchase something the payment went through but my order wasn't placed so now I'm sitting with 15,000 yen taken out of my bank account but no order.
I contacted the store and they said they didn't receive any order and that I should contact my card company regarding the mischarge.
I tried contacting my card company (SMBC olive) but I've been going in circles with their AI chatbox. I've been trying to get a human operator on the chat but I haven't been able to get to them. (Maybe the prompts I'm putting in aren't correct??)
When I tried to call there's only AI answering with no human staff available to receive the call.
What should I do?
Would it be correct to just report my card entirely for fraudulent charge or is there something else I can do.
I can also try to go to the bank but I might need an appointment? I would also like to not miss work as much as possible as I would need to make up the lost hours on that same week.
