Recently I have received an offer of 465k yen monthly without Tax and yearly TC of around 8.1M yen. I am joining a Japanese company at T4 level and have around 8 years of experience working with Mobile Technologies mainly Android.
Is my salary enough to live a good life in Japan. My wife and I will be moving to Japan. They are offering a 600k relocation package as well. I am 30M

I think it sounds good, specially if they are offering relocation package.

As always, if you can manage to negotiate a higher gross pay is always better as they normally have a lot of discounts…..

Are you moving alone?
It’s a good salary for your age and relocation package sounds good too.
It depends what good life means for you, it won’t give you any luxurious lifestyle, but it’s way higher than the average. That been said, average is low in Japan.
If you want to live here then fuck it— take it. The relo package is not that great, but it might be about half the expenses if you’re shipping your things here. It lessens the burden of coming to try the country for a few years.
Even if you’re paying 200k/mo for rent you’ll still be able to save money.
It is known most people don’t come here for money. I’m making 8.5m and took a huge pay cut to come here.
