Have been living on Okinawa for a couple years as a teacher; something I am curious about is locals' experiences, quality of life, etc under US occupation (officially ended in 1972) as contrasted with after reversion. I am especially curious how sudden the change was when it reverted to Japanese rule. Is there an archive or resource of older people who have been interviewed or written about the differences? Thanks!
