4. Specifically, fireworks from the twin Tennozu Spring and Summer festivals. Still on tomorrow if you’re interested. They’ll be showing School Of Rock on the building across the canal.

   Edit: looks like I’m wrong about the origin. The [fireworks were in Odaiba](https://star-island.jp). They just happened to line up with the Tennozu festival that usually has fireworks.

5. We’re in Kita-ku and have been hearing the booms for like the past two hours. Figured it was fireworks, but seems intense for being so far away.

11. It sounded like thunder to me too.. I’m in nerima so I shouldn’t be able to hear fireworks in odaiba. Hm.

14. I’m in Suginami and I can definitely hear a deep booming coming from somewhere. It looks like there’s a thunderstorm up in the Saitama/Gunma area.
