Three months ago I did my first flea market in Kyoto at Kitano Tenmangu.

I still remember how awkward everything felt.
The table setup looked messy, I didn’t really know how to talk to customers, and most people just walked past without stopping.

Today I came back to the exact same spot.

What surprised me wasn’t even the sales (which might end up around double compared to my first market), but the fact that some people actually remembered us.

A couple tourists stopped and said they saw us before. One person even came back looking for a charm they regretted not buying weeks ago.

That honestly felt kind of unreal.

It made me realize people sometimes connect more with small stories and feelings than the product itself.

A lot of visitors told me the pieces reminded them of Kyoto, or felt different from the usual souvenir shop stuff.

Still figuring things out every weekend, but today felt like one of those small moments that makes all the early uncertainty worth it.
