So why japanese people hysterically screams when angry ?

I watch anime, play video games, etc. Every time someone gets a bit angry, they start to raise the voice… but not in a normal way, but rather hysterically, almost to the point of losing their vocal cords with trembling loud noise… both males and females. Kinda irritating, is there a reason behind all this?
