Looking for advice on finding a neighborhood/station to live by that would allow me to commute to Samezu station by public transit in 40 minutes or less or even better by bike in that time. Was hoping to get 35 sq meters plus (if I could hit 40 that would be ideal) for under 180,000 (less would be great) and I am bringing a cat with me. In the past I have loved living in neighborhoods that have some, but not necessarily all of the following:
- access to a good park or nature way (when I lived in San Francisco I loved living near ocean beach and Golden Gate Park – I lived in the Richmond and Sunset districts if you know SF, and in Seoul I love being able to access the Han River) if it has cycling by it thats a plus
- smaller to medium sized buildings and streets, just mainly something that doesn't feel inorganic (the thing I hate most about where I live in Seoul is it is the same high rise over and over)
- Access to Nakameguro for nights out (When I have visited tokyo I've loved the feel here, just worried it might be outside of my price range or I could find a bigger and better place elsewhere)
- Having access to restaurants and maybe some bars/pubs, the more the merrier but I don't need a crazy amount. I look at the idea of having a lot of these as a nice to have but not a deal breaker. It's just nice to be able to walk around where you live and see some streets with shopping and eating that actually attracts people to go out.
Was wondering if anyone had any experience living on the Tokyu Tamagawa line between Unoki and Yaguchi-no-watshi? Looks like it has a nice river outdoor area with cycling access with some stuff around with good train access to nakameguro. No idea how "dead" it would feel out there, because I don't want to be in complete suburbia/edge of the city feel with not much to do. Also curious about the areas between Togoshi station and midorigaoka station if anyone knows good areas between those. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
