I’m heading to Tokyo as part of a longer international trip and I thought I’d run my itinerary by you all.
Monday 20 March Fly into Haneda approx 8pm, hopefully get through customs and get to my hotel in Kanda by 10:30pm. Go grab a late dinner.
Tuesday 21 March, Tsukishima for half day Akihabara for gaming/shopping new Namco Arcade and Taito Hey for half day. Hoping to grab dinner at my hotel.
Wednesday 22 March Hachioji Castle Ruins, Doryo-do and other sites around Hachioji planning on getting out early and getting back late. This may become two days if I can’t get to it all and I’ll come back on Thursday.
Thursday 23 March Ikebukero half day. Pass through Shinjuku/Kabukicho see a few other places have a drink at Akabane Reien, also thinking about going to Thriller Night but as a non Japanese speaker I’m still not sure.
Friday 24 March change hotels to Nishi Shinjuku, go check out Shibuya Sky and the updated Parco. Depending on what’s on maybe go see a band, kick on in Kabukicho if I’m feeling it.
Saturday 25 March depending on how Friday night went nurse a hangover or hit Yoyogi Park and Harajuku/sneaker shopping maybe some last minute gift buying.
If I didn’t catch a band on Friday I’ll try to watch something tonight.
Sunday 26 March probably Shimokitazawa for breakfast and a stroll, fly out late afternoon from Haneda.
