Hello! I’ll be traveling solo to Hokkaido for 2 weeks and I’m excited and terrified at the same time. I’ve been to the main island last 2018 and decided to try something new. As an architect, I’ve always been in search of new landscapes or structures, maybe you guys can suggest hidden gems to see in Hokkaido? I’ll be accompanying a friend who’ll be studying there so our schedule is patched with trips to Hokkaido University.
I still haven’t booked any accommodations because I’m still hashing out the itinerary. For the data during the trip, what is the best? I’ve been leaning towards buying an esim on Ubigi over buying a wifi device.
Also unfortunately, I have a weak stomach for seafood. I easily vomit out, especially shellfishes. What are other good food or experiences I should not miss out while on Hokkaido?

I would recommend visting Daisetsuzan National Park if you plan on being in Hokkaido for that long.
You should post in the Hokkaido and Sapporo subreddits.
Yes, seafood can be common as in much of Japan but Sapporo is known for Genghis Khan(yakiniku) and soup curry so not seafood dishes. Check those out.
