VOCABULARY can be learned Anywhere. Just use a memrise for jlpt specific..
That being said, in NO way will just knowing the vocab get you a passing grade for any jlpt.
You can have every word memorized up to N1 but without the grammar/listening/ reading you will fail
I used the jlptbootcamp n5 and n4 decks on Memrise, and it helped a lot. However, I found the Memrise system to just take too much time for new words and switched over to Anki with the Tango n3 deck instead.
