Homemade omakase for the wife’s bday (19 courses)

Wife and I love omakase but it can get pricey so we hosted 6 of our best friends for her bday. Got to test out some new menu items and work on technique. Fyi this is a hobby and self-taught.

  1. This looks amazing, especially for a hobby. How long have you been making sushi?

  2. Sorry, I’m already taken. But you can come over for some sushi anytime!

  3. This might be the first lefot omakase I’ve seen on this sub. OP got the nicest fish he could find and optimized it to his wife’s tastes. Bravo

  4. Surely this wasn’t cheaper than a restaurant, right? That’s always my experience, unless you buy a big volume of each individual fish it doesn’t pay to make great sushi at home.

  5. How did you time it? Did you enjoy each course with everyone and then go back to prep the next one? Or were you just prepping and serving the whole time?

  6. Would also like to know if I could be your wife?! I bet every bite was scrumptious. Great work!!
