I'm visiting Okinawa in early May for about a week and would love your insights on a few questions.
Beachwear:
– Are speedos acceptable at Okinawa beaches?
– Is it okay to spread a towel on the sand for relaxing and sunbathing?
Itinerary check:
– Staying at Hotel Aqua Citta Naha
– Planning to visit: the Aquarium and Shuri Castle
– Planning to visit: Emerald, Tropical, Manza, Aharen, and Zanpa beach

Yes there’s lots of places to set down a towel and relax for free even. Speedos are uncommon but you won’t stand out too much I don’t think. I’ve seen at least one person in a speedo since I’ve been here
