Not even sure if it‘s authentic Japanese, but it certainly was nice.
If anyone knows the Japanese name for this, please do tell.
So these are scallions, dipped in buttermilk, then flour, then deep fried. Dried on paper towel, sea salt flakes sprinkled on top, and there‘s your side dish, or, better yet, bar food to go with a beer.
My kids loved it, too, so it already earned a place on the list of classic snacks.
