izakaya popular among Japanese in shinjuku

Do you know Oden??

It is a one-pot dish of daikon radish and fish paste simmered in soup stock.

Since it is supremely cold in Japan today,
warm foods are still going to be popular.

  1. What an incredible array of food! Such bold textures and colors! I had soup this evening as well. It has been the land of frozen fog as of late and going to bed with a bowl full of broth and other wonderment in my belly is just what folks can use when it is cold outside. Kampai! Cat

  2. Oden is probably my most favourite winter food in Japan. As much as I love the variety of fish cakes, the daikon would have to be the ingredient I enjoy most.
