Anyone in USA buy Japanese food from Japan sites like Sugoimart? How does import work? Is it the same as flying?

Like Japanese groceries stores in USA only carry products that were analyzed by import companies and have labels like this.

How does Sugoi mart work for food and drinks ? They even had meat curry so I was confused.
I tried researching USA customs but it would just refer to the rules for flying.
