I’m on a dependent VISA and would like to apply for a job. How possible is it for a company to let me work part time because of my limited working hours on my Visa? I don’t have a degree yet( studying towards it) and I’m also studying towards taking my JLPT N4

Better question is, who would want to hire you for a full time-equivalent job?
Your profile is a part-time worker, look for jobs that fit that profile.
I’m confused, you have a dependent visa, you can work up to 28h, what sort of jobs have you applied to?
I mean you’re not going to be working in high finance or nuclear engineering, but, a lot of jobs that use foreign workers are more interested in the degree because it’s a requirement of the visa not because the job actually requires any formal education.
If you get a part time job, it won’t be a problem. If you try to get a full time job and then tell them you can only work 28 hours per week, they won’t hire you because you can’t work full time. So, just get a part time job.
I don’t get your question. You are on a Dependent SoR. Which means you are only allowed part-time jobs. You cannot work full time. Tell the company that you are limited to 28h a week. If they are okay with it- congratulations, you have a part-time job. If they don’t and want a full-time, get your degree and reapply.
