Hello, Fellow Residents,
Having been in Japan for a couple of years, my partner and I were considering applying for PR. I have checked my points total on a calculator tool and I hit 75 points, which I understand allows me to apply after 3 years continuous residence in Japan. I also pass the other requirements (no criminal record, paid taxes etc on time).
My questions are:
-
Do I have to wait until I have been here a full 3 years before I apply, or can I get the process started earlier?
-
Can anyone recommend a company to assist with the application, please, as my Japanese is not good enough yet?
Thank you

You have to have held the 75 points for 3 years. And you would need to prove that you held it for 3 years.

There’s many good companies. I would just recommend you to search on Google and check their reviews
You have to have 70+ right now and you must have had 70+ points exactly 3 years ago. And you must have been here all the time. If you moved out and in again in the meantime, the clock resets. You also need to be able to prove the points for both points in time. Then you are eligible to apply.

No, it means you can apply 3 years after you have had 70+ points (for the whole 3 years).
