Hobbies on Okinawa

What are some hobbies an outdoorsy person can do on Okinawa that don't involve the water or require a tour guide? Child-free or at least not child focused.

  1. If you like tennis and are in the Naha area feel free to hit me up. I’m not exceptionally good or anything but it’s a nice way to get a little exercise in when it isn’t too hot

  2. AllTrails hiking app can lead you through some of the most gorgeous hikes around the island. Geocaching is also a fun tool to look for hidden treasure around the island (and around the world), and if you have fb, there’s a Hike Okinawa page that may be of some help.
    Good luck, and happy adventuring!

  3. literally did it all yesterday. You might need a guide. Which I do, but also I led the group rides before opening a shop so I still lead a ride every Saturday morning that is not a function of the shop, so it’s free to join! Rentals available for ¥4000 for the ride in case you happen to not have a fully capable and tuned mountain bike handy. And if Saturdays don’t work, I do guide work most other days.
