Using Dashi no moto for miso soup question


I bought this at my local Asian store.

anyone have experience with this product ?

as the small pack says, i need to add 1 packet (5g) to 750 ml of boiling water ?

then I use that water (dashi) as a base for my miso soup ?

750 ml is alot just for me , how long can I keep the rest of the dashi in the fridge?
