Sadly, I believe it is. đ Glad you found it and removed it.
A gift from the seas. Good catch.
Just throw the entire thing out. Parasitic worms are not good for humans.
Parasite
nematode.
Freezing the fish kills the parasites but it doesnât remove them entirely.

Raw fish has parasites, thats why its flash frozen, to kill them all
Worm, sockeye (wild caught) will almost always have parasites. Hopefully it was frozen to the proper temp
More protein!
Since itâs salmon, itâs probably Anisakis. Itâs a parasite.
Itâs gross, but itâs not exactly rare.
Itâs a bonus piece of parasite sushi. No extra charge.
Extra protein
That would be a parasite, good job catching it.
Why aren’t mods banning the trolls?
Most likely anisakis worm parasite. Itâs most likely been frozen dead so itâs just harmless extra protein now.
Sake needs to be washed and partially cured as itâs a fish that goes from freshwater to salt water.
Fresh Sake stakes:
1) Rinse
2) Thick layer of salt (draws out parasites)
3) Rice wine vinegar bath (kills parasites)

That is one sperm
Sockeye frien
This is why most prefer farmed salmon for sushi. Farmed bluefin if at all possible too.
Dead parasite
Flesh eating parasite. Ur done for
Extra protein
Bonus protein
If anisakis (herring worm) is seen in raw sushi you should be careful and definitely tell your doctor. This sushi place probably has lower standards…
Kinda odd they didn’t see it in preparation of the salmon.
Can cause tape worm infection also apparently
Parasite. If it already eggs in the fish and you are the sushi chances are it is inside you not waiting to hatch
Parasite. If you took a bite of the sushi chances are there were eggs and its inside of you now waiting to hatch =/
farmed salmon should be safe but that does not look like farmed salmon
