Well the switch 2 managed to last a whole week before my kid cracked the screen….
On my morning commute there’s a section where everyone rushes up the stairs to get to another platform because the next train arrives immediately.
Somehow, some dawdling asshole with all the time in the world always spawns out of a vending machine or something right in front of me.
They peacefully amble up the stairs as people rush past them with all the Zen of a rock amidst a flowing river.
It’s like those missions in GTA 5 when a car just spawns in front of you to get in your way.
I had some child support tax deducted from the payslip. Caught me off guard. I don’t have kids 🙆♂️
Had a second date with someone who seemed promising, but ended up being a dud. He spent the first hour lecturing me about how I need to better optimize my freelance work and tax deductions. We then wandered around the zoo for a few hours while he complained about it being hot and him being tired (dude YOU picked this activity). He continuously bragged about how rich he is, even pulling out his phone to show me his investment account at one point, and then later seemed annoyed that the automated QR code ordering system at the cafe wouldn’t let us pay for our 600 yen drinks separately. Thankfully a work problem came up that got me out of there, but it was a long ass day.
Two young interns from Vietnam apparently lost their life in a 10+ meter pit when liquid cement poured on and buried them alive, due to poor security measures. But it’s almost nowhere on the news , not getting a baseball coach cuck hitting her daughter at home. The fact that while i’m N1 i get my JP news from foreign sources, knowing local news outlets are completely worthless
And don’t need to say with so much going on in the country/world turn on tv anytime and see stupid useless talentless people going crazy ‘へぇぇ〜’ ‘美味しい〜’ ‘凄〜い’ over some bland meal or a onsen with a 絶景 view of a few trees on a hill

I just learned today via my wife that schools are using AI to create their midterms and finals. Sadly this is being supported by the BoE. I am not anti AI, it has its uses. However, I do think it needs to be kept out of schools with the exception of learning about how to utilize it correctly/morally, especially in the situations above.
It’s almost June, meaning the sun is coming up earlier and earlier. My east facing room becomes so fucking bright and hot that I lose several hours of sleep per day.
Japan should be on UTC+10. Don’t @ me.
Aside from that, work continues to be shit and I’m getting fat and my friends are busy so it’s difficult to see them more than once a month ;(
The parking ticket machine stole my money! I guess the machine hadn’t been serviced and had no change, so I put a 1000 yen note in for a 660 fee and no change came out.
I got a receipt and I have the number for the company. It’s Times and I think they even have service in English.
But is it really worth phoning, and sharing my details, so they can then… send me a check for 340 yen?! Which I then have to take somewhere else? They’ve basically created several unwanted errands for me.
On the other hand, do I want to donate money to a giant company? 😡
