I’m fond of Himezen nihonshu or Asahi beer, and lately my city has been producing a local Weissbier. I also really like Horoyoi’s new melon soda flavor.

I’ve grown a bit tired of Japanese beer. So I’ve been buying from America Antenna. Its pricey at like 1K jpy per tall boy though π
Otherwise Yona Yona is my boy,γor Yaho’s εγγΌγ«εγγΌγ«. Or some Suntory highball 8s.
If going out, plenty of good micro breweries in Tokyo/Kanagawa area for me.
when it comes to the hot weather and summer
shochuu-sodawari is hard to go wrong with
edit: throw a lemon wedge in there
Big fan of anything Kiuchi puts out. Hitachino Nest White Ale is one of my favourite beers of all time.
I’ve got two massive jars of umeshu, aged 1-year and 2-years. Already cracked opened the 2-year jar and will probably last the summer, so I might let the 1-year sit and age, which is essentially what happened last year.
No special recipe (I think I followed Justonecookbook’s ratios of sugar/shochu/ume), but boy is it good. Umeshu sodas on a hot day all the way.
i like juzushu and good sake
With the humidity and temp coming up, feeling in a bit of Okinawa mood this weekend. Had instant soki-soba for lunch, and weekend drink plans are the Orion 78 edition I found in the supermarket yesterday, followed by some awamori later on.
Stopped drinking a few years ago so now it’s mostly Kirin Zeroichi.
Recently, I have been into drinking small amounts of sweet alcoholic beverages.
I started buying from dessert wines, but now that I know there is a sweet sake, I am thinking of buying it next time.
I usually just get whatever chuhai I’m feeling at the time, or if I’m out somewhere idk a mojito or beer or lemon sour or something. All depends on my mood.
You can get shochu for relatively cheap, and water it down with seltzer or anything and a slice of lemon or lime or some other citrus.
Nikaido mizuwari
Apple cider from France. Kaldi coffee sometimes has it.
Bourbon. Been enjoying Knob Creek 9 year. The Japanese whiskey I’ve tried is just too damn peat mossy

If you do not know it, imagine a lightweight Jager meister
I’ve been dropping sprigs of rosemary into my lemon chuhai to fancy it up a notch.
I like to combine 30ml bourbon. 15ml maraschino liqueur. 10ml absinthe, 4-5 dashes of bitters, 30ml shiquassar juice. 15ml maple syrup, one peeled mikan, an egg, and a bunch of ice in a blender.
