What did you do after finishing quartet 1 to pass n3?
There was only 6 chapters so it was done in like 2 months but surely that’s not enough to pass? I don’t think it’s possible at all to pass n3 after only 2 months of study surely?
What other resources should I be using? I’d love to hear your study plans and how long it took you to pass n3 using quartet
I’m already confident in the vocab and Kanji.

If your goal is to take N3, you will of course need more than just Quartet 1. I believe the text will teach you just about enough kanji for the N3 level, but you will need significantly more grammar *and* vocab besides what’s covered. By my estimation, Quartet 1 only covers about ~20-30% of all N3 grammar. To close off this gap, I would recommend a JLPT-specific text like the TRY series. Online resources like Bunpro would also be helpful.
For vocab specifically, you could also search online or try any of the vocab books by [ask-books.com](https://ask-books.com).
Adding to u/FieryPhoenix7 – some of the grammar found in Quartet isn’t explicitly taught, but rather kind of in there as something to pick up, like だけではなく. It’s taught explicitly in Tobira but not in Quartet.
Tobira could be a good filler between Q1 and Q2, if you wanna go that route.
