[Spoilers] Power Struggle 2024 Results

• Kickoff Match: Ninja Mack, The DKC, YOH def Shoma Kato, Capitan Suicida, Tiger Mask — (6:55, Eternal Drop)

• In advance of tonight’s show, Ninja Mack said this will be his last match in Japan.

• Gabe Kidd, Drilla Moloney, Clark Connors, Robbie X, Taiji Ishimori def Katsuya Murashima, VeloCities (Paris De Silva & Jude London), Intergalactic Jet Setters (Kevin Knight & KUSHIDA) — (6:14, Drill a Hole Piledriver)

• The closing stretch sees Murashima get hit with every single BC member’s finisher; including Clark and Drilla’s tag and individual moves.

• BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Yota Tsuji, Tetsuya Naito def Dragon Dia, Ryusuke Taguchi, Tomoaki Honma, Toru Yano — (7:02, Maximum the Holding [Named by Daisuke Han])

• In their backstage comments, Naito says he and Hiromu will participate in World Tag League.

• Ren Narita, EVIL def Boltin Oleg, Hiroshi Tanahashi (w/Jado) — (7:26, roll up)

• The rest of the House ambush Tana and Oleg during their entrance.

• Post-match the House continue the beat down, once again singling out Tana. EVIL says he’s going to finish Tana off and retire him at WK19. A pair of scissors come into play, but Jado saves Tana’s luscious locks. The House drag both men out of the ring and to the back.

• Ren and Oleg end up in the ring alone, with Ren getting the upper hand with a dick shot and Double Cross.

• As Narita’s celebrating, Ryohei Oiwa hits the ring. He challenges Ren to a TV title match. Just as things are about to get physical, former Champ Jeff Cobb shows up. The two challengers come to blows, but take a pause to toss Ren out of the ring. Narita scurries off as Oiwa and Cobb continue to scuffle.

• In their Backstage Comments, Tanahashi invites Jado to be his partner for World Tag League and Jado accepts.

• Shota Umino def SANADA — (16:41, Death Rider)

• Osaka was on the Umino train, giving him a warm reception. Post-match he very babyfacedly offers SANADA a handshake, but it’s not accepted.

• Chris Charlton is very much pushing SANADA and Taichi’s recent attitude changes and frustrations.

• IWGP Heavy Tag titles: HENARE, Great-O-Khan def TMDK (Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls)(w/Hartley Jackson)(c) — (11:11, Imperial Drop)

• A Special Appearance by Kenny Omega: Kenny acts like a babyface during his entrance and gets a babyface reaction. He cuts the bulk of his promo in Japanese. Omega says he’s a full time member of AEW, but if he’s able to he would like to also return to NJPW; maybe on January 5th; to face one of NJPW’s young stars. He says Japan is still home, and New Japan is still home. Goodbye and Goodnight, Bang.

• Later in the show we are told that Kenny and Gabe Kidd, who’ve been taking shots at each other on Twitter, have gotten into a physical altercation backstage.

• SJTL Finals: Ichiban Sweet Boys (Kosei Fujita & Robbie Eagles)(w/Ryohei Oiwa) def Catch 2/2 (Francesco Akira & TJP)(w/Jakob Austin Young and an AswanGuitar) — (15:20, flash pin)

• Ichiban Sweet Boys come out to Fujita’s music instead of Young Punks.

• Post-match, Akira is distraught at the loss. Nevertheless both teams shake hands and show respect.

• Fujita calls down the Jr Tag Champs. KUSHIDA and Kevin congratulate the winners, and accept their challenge. But remind us that Catch 2/2 beat them during the League. IJS say they’ll see them (both) at Wrestle Kingdom. War Dogs come out with chairs and attack everyone. Drilla cuts a Drilla promo. Four way is most likely on.

• IWGP Junior title: DOUKI (c) def
  Master Wato — (22:07, Referee Stop via Italian Stretch 32/Douki Chokey)

• El Desperado’s music interrupts DOUKI’s celebration. He says tonight’s Junior matches were great, and he’s proud to be a Junior, he loves Junior Heavyweight wrestling. Despe challenges DOUKI for the title at the Tokyo Dome. DOUKI accepts.

• Despe points out Hiromu on commentary, and says “after I beat him, I can come beat you.”

• IWGP Global title: David Finlay (w/Gedo)(c) def Taichi (w/TAKA Michinoku, SANADA) — (23:22, Overkill)

• After Gedo interference is negated by TAKA, Taichi hits Black Mephisto. But SANADA pulls the ref out. Taichi doesn’t see who it was, seems to assume it was Gedo, until SANADA takes off his J5G track jacket to reveal a War Dogs shirt.

• Post-match, SANADA kicks TAKA in the balls and hits Taichi with Deadfall. DOUKI comes out but only yells at SANADA and helps Taichi to the back.

• Finlay cuts a triumphant promo where he eventually calls out Yota Tsuji; who’s beaten him in their last two singles matches. He offers Tsuji the Wrestle Kingdom Global title match. Tsuji accepts.

• IWGP World Heavyweight title: Zack Sabre Jr. (w/Ryohei Oiwa, Hartley Jackson)(c) def Shingo Takagi — (29:28, Zack Driver)

• Post-match Zack wonders who his next challenger is going to be. Shota Umino appears, this time getting boos from the crowd that was cheering him earlier in the night. Shota says in English he’ll beat Zack again, and needs to be IWGP WHC. Zack says he didn’t understand, please repeat in Japanese. Shota does so. The match appears to be on, though it is not explicitly stated that it will be at the Tokyo Dome.

• Zack’s confetti and theme music is interrupted by Ricochet’s music. He appears in a suit and surprise attacks Zack. He says he never got to congratulate Zack for all he’s done this year, so does so. Ricochet says he wants the IWGP WHC, and all the power in NJPW. He challenges Zack to an IWGP WHC match on January 5th at Wrestle Dynasty.

• Ricochet goes to hit Zack with another move as a “parting gift” but is interrupted by Shota, who is booed for saving Zack. A frustrated Zack shoves Shota and tosses him out of the ring. Shota comes back in and hits Zack with a Death Rider, then holds the WHC over him and says he’s not to be toyed with by Zack.
