[Spoilers] Road to Tokyo Dome 12/23 Results — WK19 Go-home show

  • During the initial announcements, Mascara Kantansu Tomato [Romance novel version] once again storms the ring and cuts an energetic promo to open the Kantansu Tomato-sponsored show.

  • Pre-Show: Chase Your ☆ Dream Match–* Hiromu Takahashi def Katsuya Murashima — (5:53, Boston Crab)

  • The gimmick of Chase Your ☆ Dream Matches is that a Young Lion chooses anyone from the roster as their opponent. It’s unclear if Murashima chose Hiromu as a way to try to one-up his classmate Kato’s performance last night or for some other reason. With a time of 5:53, he lasted slightly shorter than Kato’s 6:08.

  • Post-match, Hiromu is taunting Murashima when Tetsuya Naito [full gear t-shirt version] sneak attacks his WK opponent. A brief exchange ends in a stalemate and the signature Naito pose. Hiromu cuts a promo and says he’ll crush Naito in the Tokyo Dome.

  • Jeff Cobb def Hartley Jackson — (7:50, Tour of the Islands)

  • Intergalactic JetSetters (Kevin Knight & KUSHIDA) vs Ichiban Sweet Boys (Robbie Eagles & Kosei Fujita) — (5:12, No Contest)

  • After a flurry of moves leaves Fujita alone in the ring, Drilla Moloney and Clark Connors run in and attack him with chairs.

  • War Dogs scheduled opponents for the night, Catch 2/2, eventually come out to try and even the odds.

  • Drilla Moloney & Clark Connors vs Catch 2/2 (TJP & Francesco Akira) — (0:40, No Contest)

  • The bell rings to end the match quickly, as all four teams are still brawling.

  • Eventually Drilla and Clark come out on top, and start beating up the ref and Young Lions as well.

  • War Dogs try to put Akira through some tables, but are thwarted by KUSHIDA. TJP gets a ladder out from under the ring, but Knight goes backstage and gets a taller one.

  • Some of the face teams hold Clark and Drilla on the tables while Kevin climbs the tall ladder. But unfortunately the War Dogs break free and escape.

  • A few promos from the faces and now it appears the Jr Tag title match at WK will be a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. (It might end up being officially called a Hardcore or No DQ match, depending on what copyrights WWE owns.)

  • War Dogs take their leave, the face teams have words and shoves before leaving.

  • Satoshi Kojima, Master Wato, El Desperado def TAKA Michinoku, Taichi [livestreamer version] , DOUKI — (7:51, Pinche Loco)

  • Despe beats TAKA for the second night in a row.

  • Tomoaki Honma, Toru Yano, Boltin Oleg, El Phantasmo [furry version] [w/Jado] , Hiroshi Tanahashi def Yoshinobu Kanemaru, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi, Ren Narita, EVIL [w/Dick Togo] — (12:27, Thunderkiss ‘86)

  • During Tana’s Backstage Comments last night, HoT attacked him and EVIL threatened to cut his hair. EVIL has brought the scissors to the ring tonight.

  • The faces jump HoT to start the match.

  • HoT spoil the faces winners announcement. EVIL tries to cut Tana’s hair, but the Ace fights back and tries to cut EVIL’s. Dick intervenes with the choke, and EVIL succeeds in cutting a big chunk out of Tana’s signature locks.

  • EVIL cuts a mocking promo on Tana to end the segment. (I think Ren and ELP might have brawled to the back, so keep an eye out for Backstage Comments.)

  • Gedo, SANADA, David Finlay def BUSHI, Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji — (11:16, Overkill)

  • The heels jump the faces to start the match.

  • A post-pin attack by Tsuji is thwarted by a Gedo dick punch. Finlay whacks Yota with the Shillelagh and hits Overkill for good measure.

  • Tomohiro Ishii, Shota Umino def Ryohei Oiwa, Zack Sabre Jr. — (26:31, Death Rider)

  • Chris Charlton is really pushing that Shota was supposedly advised to take tonight off due to supposedly re-aggravating his ankle injury during yesterdays match.

  • The pre-action crowd support gauge is deemed by Red Shoes to be slightly in Zack’s favor.

  • TMDK work Shota’s left arm throughout the match, as Zack has been adamant that he doesn’t need to exploit the ankle injury.

  • Post-match traditional Korakuen snow starts falling as the WK main-eventers have a face off.

  • Shota thanks Zack for leading NJPW through tough times this year and says he has a lot of respect for him, but Shota needs the IWGP WHC and 2025 will belong to Shota Umino.

  • Zack responds, “Shota-kun, do your best.”

  • Standard babyface closing promo from Shota. The crowd is not hostile to him at all. More snow to end the night and NJPW’s 2024.

Reminder: If you see another basic full results post after this one (especially one from a website trying to shill their zero-effort content) it is considered a repost and should be reported as such.

Also please report any posts that are either direct links to pirated versions of recent NJPW shows, or that link to Abema blogs that exist solely to distribute pirated content. “Breaks r/NJPW Rules” -> “Custom” -> write in the text box that it’s copyrighted content. We do not need TV Asahi on our butts.
